Peljesac Peninsula is the place where some of Croatia’s finest wines are cultivated!
A typical day begins at around 9am and ends around 5pm, you will visit two wineries and there will be a visit to the medieval city of Ston plus a visit to an Oyster Farm where you will taste 5 oysters per person with a wine tasting. A 3 course lunch with wine is included too!
We will start the day by driving to the Peljesac Peninsula, circa 1hr drive from Dubrovnik. Our first stop is a family owned Oyster Farm near Ston, your second stop will be the first winery, tasting several wines with tapas style food, learning about how we taste wines and why and lot more. We will continue to explore Peninsula and we will visit 1 more winery, the historic village of Ston and also we will have lunch in a really superb seaside “konoba”.
During the day you will learn about Croatian wines, wine-making and lot more.
You will see the medieval and historic town of Ston, famous for the second longest protective wall in the world (after the Great Wall of China) and the oldest salt factory of that kind in the world! Here you will have some free time to see Ston. You will also taste some local olive oils of great quality and see some spectacular scenery during the day.
