Each bottling carries the vintage of distillation and the year of bottling, capturing an exceptionally mature single malt whisky. Limited amounts of Speymalt From Macallan Distillery are bottled by G&M, and they are only released in selected worldwide markets. Fortunately this is one of those markets and this expression was bottled exclusively for Alberta.
The 2004 vintage rested for 19 years in a first fill American oak barrel that was sherry-seasoned, before being bottled in 2024.
Producer's Tasting Notes
Nose: Stewed plum aromas with ginger spice and dark chocolate.
Palate: The palate holds toasted hazelnuts with orange and white pepper.
Finish: Sultanas and mature oak linger on the finish.
